Supporting university sport

We're passionate about supporting university students to excel in sport.

UniSport Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 Presenting Partner

UniBank is proud to be the Presenting Partner of the 2019 UniSport Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 taking place on the Gold Coast.

We’ve been supporting university students who have a passion for what they do and a hunger for success since 1964. A large part of that support is being the Presenting Partner of the UniSport Nationals until 2021.

Every year, around 8,000 student athletes from 42 universities compete in 32 sports across Div 1 and Div 2. Most importantly, students learn valuable leadership, team work and collaborative skills that they can carry through to their careers.

For the student athletes, sport plays an important role in their university experience and overall health and well-being while studying. We’re thrilled to be taking an active role in presenting the Nationals until 2021 to continue our commitment to the university sector.

Challenge yourself and your teammates

There's nothing better than a bit of healthy competition between mates. That's why we bring FrisPig and QuizPig to the Nationals every year. It's a great way to unwind and win some prizes.

FrisPig by UniBank is our way of helping students wind down and have a bit of fun between and after their events during the Nationals. All students have to do is throw a frisbee into the coin slot on the pig’s back. Sounds easy, right? There are daily prizes up for grabs1 for those that get the most frisbees in the slot.

Why does UniBank support university sport

UniBank is focused on supporting and giving back to university communities across Australia through collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders within the sector. We believe sport plays an essential role in every university community.

Did you know that university students who participate in sport during their studies could earn more than students who don’t?

Apart from the obvious physical benefits, playing sport brings a multitude of other benefits including improvements in student wellbeing and graduate outcomes. Those benefits include leading or working as a team to do your best, succeed and win.
